CAMPING SPOT GUIDELINES

A good camping spot is hard to find! Below are some guidelines I follow when finding locations to camp and film at. If you submit a suggestion and I use it in a video, I’ll send you a gift! Thank you for the support.

NO PRIVATE PROPERTY

This includes no roof tops, inside stores or businesses, someone’s backyard, etc. A lot of good places are located on private property, and I might be able to get permission to camp in them, but, that’s not very stealthy! A little risk goes a long way.

NO NATIONAL PARKS

National parks (such as Banff National Park) require permits to film within, and they have some pretty particular requirements about what you can and cannot do. Stealth camping is somewhat frowned upon.

IT CAN’T BE ILLEGAL

I’m not interested in the kind of camping that might result in the local police showing up. I’m a good boy.

LOCATED WITHIN CANADA

I do all of my camping within Canada. While it would be nice to someday camp in other countries and locations, for the moment I’m just keeping it Canadian. Thank you for all of the invites!

NOTHING DANGEROUS

Kind of obvious but I would like to keep all of my limbs and looks intact. I’m also not a big fan of heights. Please keep suggestions SFS (Safe For Steve).

IT NEEDS TO BE INTERESTING

I try to keep things interesting. Regular campgrounds are okay sometimes but they’re also fairly easy to find. I’m looking for interesting spots that might slip under the radar.
